Clubs & Activities

After school clubs run from 2:40 pm to 4:00 pm and activity buses are provided for students who normally take a bus to/from school. Clubs are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Check your clubs schedule down below!

Some clubs require an ASB card to participate. ASB clubs will be notated in the club description.

After-school clubs and activities reminders:

Students must be at their elected activity by 2:40 pm to participate.
No club hopping. Students must stay in their selected club/activity until 4:00 pm.
Students who are riding the bus should be given a bus pass by their activity advisor.
Students do not need an ASB sticker to participate in after school academic support or building clubs.

Black Student Union

ASB Rm 411 McKnight Counselors Mondays

The Black Student Union (BSU) empowers students by celebrating Black culture, building leadership skills, and encouraging student voice. BSU provides a welcoming and inclusive space where students can learn, share ideas, and support one another. Through future mentorship opportunities and partnerships with community organizations, BSU aims to help students develop confidence, leadership, and skills that will support their success in school and beyond. All students are welcome to join.

Buddy Club

rm 144 Ms. hamilton 2nd and 4th Mondays each month

The MMS Buddy Club is an inclusive, school-based club for students of all abilities. With the support of the McKnight school community, students with and without disabilities have the opportunity to participate together in social and recreational activities! The Buddy Club provides opportunities to build student character, increase awareness and acceptance of disabilities, develop student leadership, and other skills in an inclusive, safe, and fun setting. Conspiracy Theorist Club

Conspiracy Theorist Club is a discussion-based club focused on creativity, critical thinking, and media literacy. Members will create, analyze, and disprove fictional and historical conspiracy theories—often with a satirical twist—while practicing respectful discussion and evidence-based reasoning. This club does not promote real-world conspiracy beliefs.

Do you seek adventure? Do you like the fantasy genre? Do you like to create characters or stories?
Do you sometimes like to pretend you’re someone else? Do you want to know more about that game the kids in Stranger Things play? Then you should join McKnight’s Dungeons & Dragons Club!

Things we’re doing this year:

Playing Dungeons & Dragons (we have books and dice!)
Playing other RPGs (such as Dungeon World!)

Maker Club

CTE tuesdays Rm 132 - CRAFTS MS. ROBINSON

Do you like to create, design, and try new things? Maker Club is open to all students who love making stuff! Try your hand at arts & crafts like knitting/crocheting and sewing with Ms. Robinson. Come explore your creativity and bring your ideas to life! No ASB card required! As of March 23rd, Maker Club will move to Monday's. Please update your calendars.

The NJAHS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT AND RECOGNIZE STUDENTS WHO HAVE SHOWN OUTSTANDING ABILITIES IN ART. THE PROGRAM SUPPORTS STUDENT MEMBERS IN THEIR GOAL OF ATTAINING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN VISUAL ARTS AND BRING VISUAL ARTS EDUCATION TO THE ATTENTION OF THE SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY. NO SIGNUPS NEEDED! No ASB required!

Robotics

CTE rm 304 Ms. Stojka Thursdays

Robotics club participates in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) which is a national robotics challenge. Each year the challenge is a little bit different, but there are always several tasks that our robot needs to accomplish. We design, build, program, drive, and test our robots as we get ready for monthly competitions. Students can participate in the afterschool club only or join us at monthly weekend competitions. All are welcome - no experience necessary! No ASB required!

Our club is every Thursday unless posted otherwise.

Show your Lancer pride! Spirit Squad is the place to learn drill-style dance, cheer, and help promote school spirit all year long. During basketball season, the squad will perform dance routines, and for other sports seasons, we’ll bring the energy by cheering with the student section.
