Registering a New Student

Thank you for your inquiry about registration. All student registration in the Renton School District is done online. Please begin the registration process by clicking here to get started.

Please answer ALL registration questions. Questions need  to be complete. If information is incomplete, you will be prompted by the system to complete the module to move on to the next step. If you are uncertain about some portion of the application process please call Student Information Services for assistance at 425-204-2333.  

Once your application and the supporting documentation have been received and reviewed we will communicate with you regarding registration completion and any other information that you will need as you and your student prepare for their first day of school or the upcoming school year.

Sell your handmade crafts and food. Sign up by May 17th. Join us on this fun filled evening where the community is brought together. On this evening, you will have the chance to explore the McKnight Market for crafts or food made by our school community, and the chance to sell your own goods. Want more information? Transportation is NOT provided. Parents are responsible for transporting their student to and from the event. 

Students must be in good standing to attend. Permission slips are due June 3rd. 

Mental Health Support

Mental Health is important, which is why the Renton School District is partnering with Hazel Health, a confidential and secure service to provide access to quality health care services for all students, at no cost to families. Learn More Here

Volunteering at McKnight!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Renton School District! All people wishing to volunteer at McKnight or any other building in the Renton School District, please view important information on the Renton School District website that pertains to volunteering. You will be able to view the Volunteer Handbook as well as apply online for a background check. If you want to volunteer for an upcoming activity, it is recommended that you submit your online application at least two (2) weeks ahead.

If Approved: If you clear the Volunteer Background Check, you will receive an email that you are now approved to volunteer. This approval is good for two years for any Renton school. On your first visit as a volunteer, please remember to bring a government-issued ID (such as a driver's license) to check in. 


If Denied: If you are denied, you will receive an email. If you have questions about your denial or approval, you may contact  Renton School District Security Department or call the Safety and Security Department at 425-204-4445.
